Back to paradise

DSC05427, originally uploaded by Pranay Rao.

Same hills, same valleys, same scenic surroundings. Like my friend put it, I have an experience which is pleasing to the eyes. Now let me think. I got up at 0730 on a very chilly morning, when even the hotel staff were asleep. Drove in almost zero visibility from Mandi to Kullu and I didn't even feel thrilled. HP is growin on me, so much so that I even give advice to friends who wanna visit.
Mandi though provided some extra fun in the form of the Mandi Shivratri. Mandi, accordin to Modi has the most beautiful women in India (After Kashmir valley that is). Mandi definitely has the most fashionable women in HP. It was a pleasant surprise to see women n men dressed in trenchcoats and similar modern attire. If not for my WLS jacket, I'd probably be considered decadent here.
Speakin of purchases, did I tell you about the Sony Ericsson W810i I bought in November. The lil black phone now has a fan following. The latest person who's buyin it is my elder sis. SE better pay me for the free promotion. God knows how many people have I convinced by now that this phone is really good.
Anyway Kullu is verrry beautiful rite now and extremely cold. Snow's fallen everywhere. Wish you were here.

Till then njoi my pics (this one's an old one)

Luv,

Ice age

DSC05393, originally uploaded by Pranay Rao.

Just when every1 thought that life was gonna get warmer, it's become chilly again. Of coutdr I'm roamin around in a thin cotton shirt, but thats simply cos I have bcome a naturalised Himachali and HP is realllly cold. Shimla's got the heaviest rainfall in 6 years and I've been warned to carry my winter clothes and I have so few. Smart Ass that I am, I've yet tp buy any thermal inners, so I'm rewally gonna freeze.
The snow though is very welcome. The apple crop depend on good snowfall and so does tourism to an extent. A good snowfall also means water for the various HP hydel projects, which supply power to most of North India. This small little state is infact also a large generator of forex. Anyway enuff of Gyaan.

Hope to find some winter sports to enjoy.
Never thought I'd ever say that

Luv,
P.R.
